1976 Steve Nass was elected chairman of the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors in April of 2020. 1977 Alexandra "Bunny" Katich Brueggeman retired from 3M in May. 1979 Michael Olinger spent 27 years working for Sperry Univac (now Unisys) in the Twin Cities. 1980 Michael Swartz retired in December 2019 after 38 years with Genuine Parts Company. James Gruba joined the Human Development Center's Board of Directors. Jane Bromberg Wichmann is the deputy clerk of courts for the State of South Dakota. 1982 Steven Cook is an investigator with the Aitkin County Sheriff's Office. Gregg Santa is retired from the Norwegian National Opera. Rev. Carl R. Cramer served 13 years as an athletic trainer and retired after 30 years at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, as professor of athletic training and associate dean in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. He earned his Ed.D., from Kansas State University in 1990, was ordained a deacon in 2005 for the Archdiocese of Miami and serves at St. Edward Catholic Church in Pembroke Pines, Florida. 1985 Rick Nelson recently retired from teaching at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. 1986 Jori Walt has been enjoying retirement from the Superior School District since 2015. She keeps very busy, as the past president of the Lucius Woods Performing Arts Center in Solon Springs and a current board member, director of Our Savior’s Church Handbell Choir, and as community band director and member of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra Chorus.

Mary Dettmering is the president and corresponding secretary for her Alpha Eta Chapter and provides data entry for SkillsUSA. 1987 Lt. Col. Michael Martin retired from the United States Air Force after five tours of duty. He has been a captain with United Airlines for over 28 years. Mark Maki retired from Enbridge Inc., as SVP and chief accounting officer on June 30. He was appointed CFO of Trans Mountain Pipeline Company of Calgary, Alberta, in July. 1988 Scott Mikesch has been

1952 Glenn Nordin and Mary Anderson Nordin, Class of 1952, are retired and enjoying life in Texas. 1960 James Cowman skis 35 days or more in a year in New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming. 1961 Bruce Webb retired from the Navy as a CDR in 1989, having served as a naval aviator for three tours in Vietnam. He had over 6,000 hours as a pilot and later worked for U.S. Department of Commerce. 1962 Lauren Nashlund was named an honorary board member by the Chetek Area Historical Society and the Chetek Area Museum. 1965 Jerome Rayala is retired from the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council, where he was a small business consultant. He served in Vietnam as a combat infantry soldier and received the Purple Heart along with other awards. This past year, he was honored with a trip to Washington, D.C. on the Never Forgotten Honor Flight. Since retirement, he has enjoyed traveling to Rome, the Holy Land, Medugorje and Poland with his wife, Linda. 1968 Dennis Borich was an art teacher at Chisholm High School in Minnesota from 1968 to 2001, retiring after 33 years. 1970 Michael Powers worked 44 years in hospital business offices and has been retired for five years. George "Bud" Brand had four of his original poems selected for inclusion in the Local Free Poetry Project and has now had 91 poems published. He was also inducted into the Superior Athletic and Academic Hall of Fame in 2019. Jolayne Lindberg retired in 2009 after 39 years working for the Oconomowoc Area School District. She is a member of Angel Flight. Dr. Lanny J. Tibaldo and Mary Bjork Tibaldo, Class of 1975 , are both retired and living in Wisconsin. Lanny retired as the West De Pere superintendent of schools and Mary as a day care provider. 1971 William Bates and wife Barbara Bates, Class of 1998 , are retired teachers and live in St. Germaine, Wisconsin. Barbara toured Poland last summer as a citizen ambassador. While there they met with dignitaries and commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Warsaw

Delphine Anderson Weiss graduated with a master’s degree in social work from the University of Iowa in May 2019. She also holds a masters in gerontology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is currently employed as a mental health therapist with Clear Brook Counseling Professionals in Ames, Iowa. 1990 Ray Kosey retired in 2020 after 15 years as the Superior High School activities director. 1993

Sigurd holds the World Dead Lift Championship record, pulling 281 pounds last August, and has also been the dead lift and bench press champion for the state of Wisconsin since 2017. 1966 Bruno Maki was a teacher for 35 years, spending 31 years at Bryant School in and fellow alum, George Effertz, and their wives, Barb and Linda, have spent winters in Florida. George Effertz retired in 2006 after 39 years of teaching high school mathematics and physics, and coaching Superior. 1967 Jerry Romanowski

Jacques du Vair is the head coach for the Central Wisconsin Storm. 1994 Rich Tunell is the coordinator of a new program through Lake Superior Community Health Center. 1995 Tanya Wick Milanowski started her sixth year as the school psychologist for Saint Croix Falls School District in 2019.

Gary Banker was inducted into the Superior School District's Academic Hall of Fame in 2020. As a recipient of the Lifetime Contribution Award, Gary is being recognized for his dedicated service and many contributions to the education of Superior

Ronald Larson celebrated his birthday on the Florida Gulf Coast. Sara Balbin was honored with a Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters 2020 Academy Fellows Award in April.
