HOME & COTTAGE Editor's Letter
As we near the end of fall, I'm not entirely sure how it happened—but here we are, with holiday season dreams creeping into our minds! While the thought of sugar plums and snowy scenes is starting to take hold, I’m personally savouring the last of this warm autumn weather (and, of course, pumpkin spice lattes). But I'll get there soon enough! This issue is packed with inspiration and practical advice, including our New Beginnings Project, a full-home renovation where every room received thoughtful touches, revealing just how transformative a fresh start can be. For those navigating the housing market, we’ve tapped into real estate expert Melanie Shaw, who shares her 35 years of wisdom on patience in the buying process, while mortgage expert Mike May provides insights on simplifying the financing journey. And with the holidays around the corner, we have tips on creating the perfect guest room, along with gift guides for those hard-to-shop- for folks. Cozy up with us as we dive into a season of warmth, renewal, and celebration. Enjoy, and season’s greetings!
