PAST In 1889, Sheridan Road was named after Philip Henry Sheridan, a general in the Civil War who coordinated military relief efforts in Chicago following the Great Chicago Fire. Much of the route had been laid out by 1893, and in 1894 it was proposed to expand to Milwaukee with bB_Kdal_OsWdbWbà PRESENT Sheridan Road is one of Winnetka’s most celebrated roads and where I call home. As a longtime resident and active broker, I have sold 25 houses on the lake and 57 houses on Sheridan Road.
