2025/2026 PROS’ PICK SPONSORED BY ALUMICRAFT S ome of the finest cars in attendance at this year’s 56th Annual Street Rod Nationals gathered in the special front-and-center Expo Center location on Friday to let the good folks from Alumicraft Street Rod Grilles and their hand-selected group of judges determine who would be recognized for their efforts with a “Pros’ Pick.” Participants and spectators alike swarmed the area to check out these great examples of quality cars that are generally the cream of the crop, and even though there are no strict judging rules, 10 winners were selected representing all aspects of the rodding hobby. We hope you’ll agree the cars selected are fine examples of state-of-the-art builds. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners!

Robert & Terri Carpenter from New Braunfels, TX, home-build some of the nicest C10s in the country. Their ’68 Chevrolet C10 picked up a Pros’ Pick sporting a Roadster Shop chassis, Borla 8-Stack inject- ed LS3, and a Ford 9-inch. Details like the beautiful engine panels, flawless raised bed, and smoothie door jams set the pickup apart.

There is a ton of cool on Billy & Vicki Grobe’s Pros’ Pick winning ’32 Ford roadster out of Maineville, OH, that runs a 400ci small-block, rolls on a Precision Hot Rods frame, has a 2-inch stretched hood, a laid back 3-inch chopped windscreen, custom Copper Tri-coat paint by Majic Customs, and a Dean Alexander interior.

We’ve previously described Jeff Bennett as a ‘street rod crazed friend’ and we love his personal Pros’ Pick winning ’31 Ford sedan highboy with a filled roof, a 2-inch chop, raised wheel wells, a ‘32 chassis filled with 1955 Ford Y-block power, and PPG Deadwood Green paint complementing a black leather interior.

We would love to spend some time cruising in Tamara Houseman’s Pros’ Pick winning ’56 Chevy Nomad out of Geneseo, IL. Tamara built the Nomad to be a sleeper with all the best stuff, including a Roadster Shop chassis, LS3 power, and a perfectly executed stock-style interior.
