StreetScene-Oct25

Rep/Safety Volunteers, Clubs & Associations N SRA staff and members of the Field Force team were joined by volunteers in the production of this year’s 56th Street Rod Nationals. On Wednesday evening before the event started volunteers representing individuals and 40 clubs gathered at the Crowne Plaza host hotel for the annual workers’ meeting. NSRA semi-retired Special Events Director Jerry Kennedy hosted the volunteers and thanked them for the time and effort they provide each year in registration, placing signs and banners throughout the Expo grounds, working the main gate, folks running the MHRA Rod Repair Shop and the Safety Inspections. A special plaque commemorating their years of service to the Street Rod Nationals was presented to each of the clubs and associations at the reception. A special thanks goes out for their continued participation and support. Each year clubs and associations are invited to visit the NSRA Membership/StreetScene booth inside the Exhibit building to represent their members who have traveled to that year’s Street Rod Nationals. This year the Early Tin Dusters of Quincy, Illinois, won the “Club Participation

Award” with seven members traveling a combined total of 2,692 miles to attend the 56th NSRA Street Rod Nationals. No Association signed up for the “Participation Award.” On Saturday evening a party was held for all the NSRA State Representatives and Safety Division Officials at the Crowne Plaza hotel. Charlie Bryson, the NSRA National Field Director, and Roger Barnhill, NSRA Safety Director, set up and hosted the party. As the years were called out attendees were asked to stand based on the number of years of service they have given in support of the National Street Rod Association.
