We cannot achieve the SDG goal on Climate Action without talking about Clean and Affordable Energy. Thus in our quest to have more green jobs to be able to end all climate induced human vulnerabilities for better adaptation and mitigation, the youth and their innovative ideas are pivotal. This cannot be possible in the absence of introducing climate tech innovations and products. Therefore, knowledge and experiences in chemistry, technology and environment must be use to provide sustainable and resilent solutions. It is important to have individuals or groups initiate life changing solutions to this global plight on climate crisis and in this case clean and affordable energy. The Gambia Chemical Society is a formidable experienced and qualified youth organization registered to provide sustainable climate education, green ideas, green technologies and jobs by working together on climate and energy related issues. This commitment started from the past 10 years during our college education studies. We are committed to providing solutions in achieving it the SDG goal: climate action, clean and affordable energy. Part of our efforts include climate education, climate on adaption, resilent and sustainable green jobs in our communities. In addition,we have been working on an important project on local production of clean energy for fuel. During our college education studies as an esteem youth organization, we have worked on the local production of Bioflakes as a replacement for charcoal. Charcoal is one energy fuel in our country contributing to the destruction of the floral which contributes significantly to high temperatures in the country leading to unending floods and other climate induced human vulnerabilities including human displacement. We are a team of young professionals in chemistry, biology, physics and other applied sciences from the University of The Gambia who are committed to providing solutions in our communities in the areas of climate action, green innovative ideas and technologies, clean and affordable energy. However,we are constrain by financial support to be able to fully explore all of our capabilities to serve our community better. Therefore,we are confident that with the right opportunity and support from interested stakeholders our aims of creating more green innovations, clean energy at affordable prices will be enhanced. Finally we hope to participate in this year's event to expand on our experiences and explore the opportunities this event has for enthusiastic youth in providing sustainable solutions for clean and affordable energy.
