Budget shifts at city hall for the salt dome and calcium tank program but also a $3600 shortfall in money needed for the street line painting. The street sweeping allocation is $20,000 more than the contract requires but the sidewalk construction budget has fallen short by $13,300. Council approved resolutions authorizing the public works department

to transfer the money needed for street line painting from the salt dome fund and from the street sweeping fund to the sidewalk budget. Council also approved a contract with Centennial Construction Rockland Ltd. for building a retaining wall at the Clarence Creek salt dome at a cost of about $24,600 plus HST.
