La prima collezione, firmata AMDL CIRCLE, si ispira alla bellezza e alla complessità del paesaggio rurale evocan- done, attraverso le texture e le cromie selezionate per le carte, la storia e le tecniche che hanno contribuito a pla- smarlo. A guidare il processo creativo il gesto dell’aratura dei campi, simbolo del legame tra l’uomo e la terra: i pig- menti sono stati “rastrellati” sui fogli da disegno con petti- ni di legno dalle diverse tipologie di denti – larghi o stretti, squadrati o appuntiti - creando un linguaggio di linee, gro- vigli e forme, ispirato ai solchi dei campi coltivati, alle siepi e ai filari di alberi osservati dal cielo. Un’ulteriore dimensione umana ed emozionale è data da motivi disegnati a mano libera, tratti unici in cui il piccolo difetto e le asimmetrie donano preziosità. I colori naturali scelti, quali i rossi e i gialli terrosi dell’ocra, i bluastri e i ver- di si mescolano e si combinano, creando atmosfere tenui e rasserenanti, tra le vibrazioni di luci e ombre date dalle goffrature della superficie. Le tinte e la matericità delle finiture sono poi state combi- nate e rielaborate in digitale, diventando effetti grafici per decorare, colorare, incidere la superficie delle carte da pa- rati in amido di riso. Possono nascere così pareti che portano negli ambienti interni la sensazione di benessere che proviamo quando, circondati dalla natura, ci sentiamo intimamente connessi con il pianeta.
The first collection, signed by AMDL CIRCLE, is inspired by the beauty and uniqueness of the rural landscape evoking, through the textures and colors selected for the papers, the history and techniques that contributed to shaping it. The creative process is guided bt the gesture of plowing the fields, a symbol pf the bond between man and the earth. The pigments were “raked” on the drawing sheets with wo- oden combs with different types of teeth - wide or narrow, square or pointed - creating a language of lines, tangles, and shapes inspired by the furrows of cultivated fields, hed- ges, and rows of trees observed from the sky. An additional human and emotional dimension is given by hand-drawn motifs, unique traits where small imperfections and asymmetries give preciousness. The chosen natural colours, such as ochers earthy reds and yellows, bluish and greens, blend and combine, creating soft and serene atmo- spheres, among the vibrations of lights and shadows given by the embossing of the surface. The colours and texture of the finishes were then combined and digitally reworked, becoming graphic effects to decora- te, colour, and engrave the surface of rice starch wallpaper. Walls can be created, bringing into interior environments the feeling of weel-being, to be experienced when, surroun- ded by nature, we fell intimately connected with the planet.
