La seconda collezione, firmata Metrogramma, individua nella storia delle cuciture il tema principale di design. L’idea è quella di restituire motivi grafici che richiamano l’arte del cucito, di ispirazione artigianale, manuale, pre- zioso per il decoro delle carte. L’uomo preistorico fu il primo inventore del cucito moder- no, poiché introdusse tecniche di taglio e unione di pelli di animali con ago e filo sopravvissute fino ai nostri giorni. Esistono due modalità di approccio all’arte del cucito: la prima per unire parti distaccate; la seconda per decorare con disegni superfici. Carte goffrate in amido di riso, carte in forma di boiserie in puro lino e pannelli digitali realizzabili in svariati supporti innovativi, tutto decorato con cuciture che si riferiscono alle più riconosciute tecniche che costituiscono anche in- teressantissimi motivi grafici. Tutto è pensato per una linea creativa che va nella direzio- ne di allestimento di ambienti sartoriali eleganti e sofisti- cati eppur completamente sostenibili. “I want color and form to have contradictorily functions.” Josef and Anni Albers
The second collection, signed by Metrogramma, identifies the main design theme in the history of stitching. The idea is to return graphic motifs that recall the art of sewing, transforming it into precious artisanal, manual, and decorative papers. The prehistoric man was the first inventor of modern sewing, as he introduced cutting and joining techniques of animal skins with needle and thread, which have survived till our days. There are two approaches to the art of sewing: the first is to join detached parts, the second is to decorate surfaces with the designs. Embossed papers in rice starch, boiserie-shaped papers in pure linen, and digital panels made in various innovati- ve supports, are all decorated with stitches that refer to the most recognized techniques, which also constitute intere- sting graphic motifs. Everything is designed for a creative line that sets up ele- gant and sophisticated tailored environments that are com- pletely sustainable. “I want colour and form to have contradictorily functions.” Josef and Anni Albers
