THE KINGÌSi BUSINESS

The Work in William Sloan, rT ' HE month has been spent in La Habra and Olinda. The audiences have been good and our best service has been rendered. Thirty meetings were held and graciously received. Ten persons have come into the church. “ Christian Sci entists” and Russellites have been working against the truth and have been angered by our presentation of the Word, some have been helped out of these falacies and shown how to meet these agencies. The welcome sign is ever hanging out to these brethren because of the efficient work that they are doing. May God bless them and the Institute. H. H. S., Pastor. Mission Work Superintendent a great drinker and gambler, and was hav ing broils with someone continually. He mistreated his family shamefully and for months had been separated from his wife, although they had four bright children. She was first to confess the Lord. He con- ' fessed later, but was not willing to return to his wife. However, he quit gambling and drinking and was often found talking to others about the Gospel. When he went to Imperial Valley he took his children with him and his wife did not know where he had gone. Just lately he has sent money for his wife to go to him and everything bids fair for the family to be again united, but united now in the Lord. He says he' has been “talking the Gospel” there and at least one man has accepted Christ through his testimony.
