2018 4th Quarter Crime Report

The City Council approved the purchase of 15 acres at the southwest corner of McCart Ave. and Risinger Rd. in October 2018. A design-build contractor is expected to be selected for the project in early 2019 with construction complete in 2020. The location of all future patrol division facilities should be based on the following criteria: cen- trally located based on existing and projected population and calls for service, access to major arterials, size, avail- able utilities, visibility, and compatible uses. The new fa- cility will replace two existing facilities; a leased location at 7650 McCart Ave. and a City-owned location at 3128 W. Bolt St. Extensive growth southward is expected as a result of the completion of the Chisholm Trail Parkway, the future site of Tarleton State University. Land Purchased for South Division Facility

FWPD Website Redesigned The Fort Worth Police Department expanded and im- proved the department’s website to better serve as a dy- namic user-friendly and transparent tool. The website, www.fortworthpd.com, includes more detailed information about the three police department bureaus, patrol divi- sions, National Night Out registration, crime data, and Strategic Plan performance measures: https:// www.fortworthpd.com/Public/strategic-plan. On the site, the public can review monthly Strategic Plan implementation progress for each patrol division and all three bureaus. The homepage offers many updated fea- tures including the search engine One Address that al- lows the public to search an address and receive im- portant information such as their patrol beat, neighbor- hood police officer contact information, nearest police fa- cility, and neighborhood meeting dates. Additional homepage enhancements include biographies for the department’s Executive Staff, cold case details, and the weekly Most Wanted list. Various department re- ports are available to view on the site such as annual re- ports, crime reports, general orders, and arbitration re- ports that include post-disciplinary reviews and after- arbitration reviews. As part of the redesign, the site is now mobile friendly allowing the public to view the site on handheld devices.
