MARCH 2021

Angel Cottrell is certified as facilitator of ELI’s Entrepreneurial Mindset curriculum. APRIL 2021 Angel Cottrell is certified as an Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile® (EMP) Practitioner. JULY 2021

The inception of the Entrepreneurship Resource Centers at ROC & CTEC. Launched 4-week sessions of Entrepreneurship Mindset Summer Camp at ROC & CTEC serving over 190 students. JUNE 2021

The 2021-2022 academic year began. AUGUST 2021

SEPTEMBER 2021

CTEC hosts Virtual Enterprise (VE) workshops for over 200 Kern High School District VE students. Launched two ERC programs for Fall 2021: Exploring Entrepreneurial Mindsets (EEM) & Entrepreneurial Essentials & Endeavors (EEE).

Ideation Lab training among ERC, ROC, & CTEC staff. OCTOBER 2021 At CTEC, 10 local high school VE Business Plan teams attended Kern County’s Western Regional Rounds Business Plan competition. KHSD had 6 VE teams place in the regional competition and 4 teams qualified to compete at the state level. DECEMBER 2021 ERC launched three Spring 2022 programs: Exploring Entrepreneurial Mindsets (EEM), Entrepreneurial Essentials & Endeavors (EEE), and Advanced: Pivot or Proceed. FEBRUARY 2022

NOVEMBER 2021

CTEC hosts a VE Mini Trade Show and business advising sessions with 13 KHSD teams competing. 35 students completed EEE by pitching their business idea at Pitch Night.

37 students completed EEM.

JANUARY 2022

VE high school students from all over California participated in a two-day state competition and trade show at CTEC. 4 teams from the KHSD placed among the top 8 company firms in the state. First projects are being created in the Ideation Lab. Four of KHSD VE teams participated at the International Youth Business Summit in New York City where 3 of our teams ranked top 5 in the nation. APRIL 2022

MAY 2022

17 students enrolled in Advanced: Pivot or Proceed completed their culmination project at Pitch Night. 22 students completed EEE by pitching their business idea at Pitch Night.

47 students completed EEM.

Angel Cottrell participated in the Price-Babson Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators (SEE #47).
