Defend the Vault! Grade Level: 2 | Career Pathway: Finance | Integrated STEM Application: Circuitry and Electronics
Unit Overview Unit Description: In a world where valuables must be safeguarded, only the sharpest minds can create the perfect defense. Welcome to “Defend the Vault,” where learners step into the role of security engineers, tasked with designing an alert system to protect what matters most. Through the exploration of simple circuits and their interactions, they’ll develop essential security measures, all while learning the basics of bank security systems. But the real test comes when their peers, acting as penetration testers, attempt to breach their defenses. Can they create an unbreakable system, or will the intruders succeed? The race to secure your valuables begins now!
Challenge: How can we design and test an alert system so that we can protect our money?
