Sarah Cake Baking

Sarah, already a dedicated home baker was looking for a new hobby after having a baby, and decided to enrol on the cake baking course to enhance her existing baking skills, and experiment with new cake flavours. Under the guidance of the course tutor Tracy, Sarah has added her own unique creative flair into every cake and motivated by her progress, has also enrolled on the Cake Decorating course too. “I am so pleased I joined this course and cannot recommend it enough! It’s perfect for people who have no baking skills, as well as home bakers who just love baking and want to take their baking skills to the next level. The class is really diverse, and you get to meet people that you wouldn’t usually meet, which has been wonderful.”

Brandon Barbering Level 2 Diploma

Brandon embarked on a Level 2 Barbering course with a unique background in the hair industry, currently working full-time specialising in hair transplants. Motivated by a desire to acquire additional skills relevant to his current job, Brandon’s goal extends beyond personal growth and he also sees potential opportunities to establish his own barbering or hairdressing venture in the future or even travelling with his newly acquired qualification. “I love learning new skills, and the supportive, positive atmosphere created by the tutors and staff has contributed significantly to my educational journey. The College is brilliant, it is multi-cultural, and everyone is so welcoming.”

Perparime English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Perparime’s English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) journey at Preston College is a testament to her determination, resilience, and the transformative power of education. Arriving in Preston from Albania with her family, Perparime was uncertain about her future, in a new place with few familiar faces. Despite initial fears and self-doubt, she decided to enrol on an English course, marking a crucial step towards overcoming language barriers. With a genuine eagerness to learn, she witnessed significant progress within just a few weeks. Beyond learning the basics of English, Perparime highlights the holistic approach of the course, which allowed her to express her thoughts and opinions confidently. “Since joining Preston College, I have learnt how to write and speak English, and have met wonderful teachers who helped me achieve with their unwavering support! Studying was such an enjoyable experience and I am now able to move forward in my life, with so many new opportunities available to me, which I am so grateful for!”
