It’s about the journey... and the destination

Preston College has a wide range of courses for young people leaving high school. After completing their studies with us they go on to some fantastic destinations including university, degree apprenticeships and employment.

Spencer Aeronautical Engineering Level 3 Spencer joined Preston College from Hutton Grammar School. Spencer. Having always wanted to work in the aeronautical industry, he is now progressing to degree level study as an apprentice. “I started this course hoping to gain the qualifications I needed to start an apprenticeship in aerospace engineering and I have achieved this. I have had some great help and advice from my tutors, who kept me on track. During my time at Preston College, I have completed an industry placement at UK aviation and I have learnt many skills.” Raphaela T-Level Professional Construction Raphaela studied the T-Level in Professional Construction at Preston College and aspires to become an architect. T-Levels combine academic study with industry experience with a 315 hour work placement completed over a two year period. Raphaela is continuing her studies at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). “I have had an amazing time at Preston College and have learnt a lot of new things especially during my industry placements. I completed my placements at Willmott Dixon and Eric Wright Construction, my placements helped me understand different roles in the industry and helped me to achieve a high mark in my employer set project.”

Dhaval ICT Level 2 & 3

Dhaval joined Preston College from Longridge High School and studied ICT Level 2 & 3. During his studies Dhaval completed work experience in an IT setting and enjoyed enrichment activities including trips to the Trafford Centre and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Dhaval is now progressing to the University of Central Lancashire to study for a degree in Software Engineering. “My qualifications and all of my tutors at Preston College have helped me to progress to university. I want a career in IT and I’m on the right track to achieve this.”
