Kim joined Preston College with aspirations to be a pharmacist, however her time at college and her industry placement at Lancaster University helped her to discover her passion for biomedical science. “On the T-Level in Science you gain so much technical skills that other courses don’t offer. Other courses have a lot of theory but there is no comparison in terms of skills. I have so much technical skill, that I feel like I have an advantage against the other people.”

It’s great to see the children progressing and the difference you make in supporting them.”

This gave me a better idea of what options I had after the course, and gave me a better understanding of what I wanted to do. “I completed my work experience at a high school, and it was a great experience for me personally, as it allowed me to develop some vital skills, such as my communication and punctuality.”
