University Centre Supports Evolving Technical Skills

Equipment and resources will include a torsional load testing machine, a robotic arm, 3D scanners and printers, and the Digital Innovation Lab offering high specification computers and innovative collaborative working spaces. All of which will enable Preston College’s University Centre to deliver cutting-edge education and training, further reinforcing our reputation as a leading provider of IoT, Higher Education, and Professional Skill courses.

Preston College is proud to announce that we have been selected as one of the leading members of the newly established Lancashire and Cumbria Institute of Technology (L&CIoT), a £290 million government-backed investment which will enable the College to deliver the very best in technical education. The Institute of Technology (IoT) initiative was first launched back in 2019, with various institutes already established across regions in the UK. Working in collaboration with six further education colleges and three Higher Education Institutions across the region, Preston College will focus on delivering cutting-edge technical courses and provide outstanding skills-based training across multiple industries, including Construction, Engineering, Counselling, and Social and Community Work.
