Coffee Break Report By Rose Gutierrez, Assal Badrkhani, Cesar R. Garcia

Hello, LSSG! Summer is upon us, and we hope everyone is enjoying time outside in our beautiful California weather with family and friends. We’ve had a fantastic line-up of events thus far, and we wish to thank all the people who made them possible. First, we’d like to thank Assal Badrkhani of Arias Sanguaneti and Cesar Garcia of Chang Klein LLP for leading our July Lunch and Learn focusing on fact-finding on a budget. We’d also like to thank the New Lawyer Division (NLD) for hosting and including LSSG in their summer soiree at The Waterfront in Venice. Both events were well attended. We hope that everyone will make time to register and attend our upcoming, joint LSSG/NLD webinar entitled, “Drafting Motions Can Be Fun……., I Promise!” which will take place on August 5 at 1:00 pm. Our very own Sandy Lopez of ACTS Law will be co-presenting with Melody Saadian of Panish Shea Ravipudi LLP. The webinar’s focus will be best practices, cautionary tales of AI use, and reminders of basic procedures. Registration is open and can be found at www.caoc.org. th As a reminder: “Spotlight a Member”: We have not received a single submission for our LSSG Member Spotlight! So: Attorneys! We know you know who your superstars are. We would love if you would please share a quick blurb via email about what makes your paralegal great so we can give them the recognition they deserve! Please direct submissions to lssg@caoc.org.

Document Bank: If you have any document templates to share, please forward them to lssg@caoc.org. Convention is just around the corner and planning has begun! Keep an eye out for more information. We hope to see all of you in San Francisco.

Until our next “Coffee Break!”
