PROBLEM: Thermal cycling on General Motors vehicles pow- ered by LS engines can cause some manifolds to warp and others to crack. Milling and welding damaged manifolds aren’t reliable repair options given the high labor times involved on many of these cars and trucks. FIX: Dorman’s OE FIX driver’s side exhaust manifold is made of nodular cast iron, a better class of iron than the OE alloy. Dorman manifolds manufactured from this upgraded material have superior fatigue resistance to help ensure longer life and leak-free exhausts.
