Q: What are the benefits of hiring an interior designer instead of undertaking a project independently? A: Engaging a professional interior designer offers numerous advantages: Expertise and Vision: We bring a trained eye to your project, identifying potential and challenges that may not be immediately apparent. Time and Stress Management: Our full-service design process manages every phase from start to finish, allowing you to focus on other priorities while we handle the details. Access to Resources: We provide access to custom-designed products and high-quality, trade-only sources– ensuring a bespoke result.

Personalized Design: We tailor each space to reflect your unique style and needs, creating a home that supports your evolving life.

Q: When developing a style for a client's property, is it a collaborative effort or does one party take the lead? A: Our design process is highly collaborative. The best results emerge from a partnership where clients' tastes, experiences, and aspirations are integral to the design. By listening attentively and incorporating your cherished pieces and ideas, we create spaces that are uniquely yours, ensuring your home reflects your personality and lifestyle. Q: What do you enjoy most about life in the Burlingame area? A: As a long-time resident, I love the vibrance and accessibility of our neighborhoods. Burlingame Ave., Broadway, and downtown San Mateo are filled with fantastic cafes, restaurants, and unique shops. Running into friends around town gives it a close-knit feel. The people here are friendly, diverse, and well-traveled, fostering open- minded ideas and innovation. Burlingame is a caring community with plenty of opportunities to get involved. Plus, the proximity to San Francisco and the coast means I can easily enjoy the best of city life and beautiful coastal landscapes. Q: Is there a project that you are most proud of? A: It's hard to choose just one, but a project that stands out is a vacation home I designed in Martha's Vineyard. This project was special because it allowed me to showcase the stunning surroundings while creating rooms for games, reading, gathering, and entertainment, serving multiple generations of the family. We designed spaces that cater to both big get-togethers and quiet alone time, striking a balance between communal areas and private retreats. By updating the finishes and incorporating a palette of natural materials and warm tones, we achieved a fresh, transitional approach that felt both luxurious and comfortable. Seeing how this home became a versatile retreat for the entire family was incredibly rewarding and reminded me why I love what I do.
