Avenues: Living Life Without Back Pain

Patient Success Spotlights

“My experience started back in 2016 when I was sent here for what was presumed as low back pain. I had excruciating pain in my left hip down my leg that kept me awake most nights. I was unable to sit, stand, walk, or lay down for more than a few minutes before the pain became unbearable. My biggest goal was to get back to the gym and strengthen everything. I started with one month of physical therapy and was moved on to pool therapy for another month after. Sadly, nothing helped my pain or changed my current predicament. I came back later the following year in 2017 where I started seeing Eric again, this time with a different diagnosis from another doctor for my pain. My diagnosis was bursitis in my hips, not my back. Many of my first sessions started with just trying to alleviate the pain. Once the pain was reduced we started working on getting my strength back. Many months later, and a few hiccups in between, I’m now able to walk, stand, sit, and lay down with zero discomfort. It’s been nearly 4 years since I’ve felt this great. I’m glad I met Eric he has helped me immensely.” - Elyse T. “Haven’t Felt This Good in 4 Years!”

“I am so thankful for Avenues Physical Therapy. I have been a client on three different occasions. They are the most positive, considerate, caring and innovative therapists I have had. They all take their job very seriously. I have never felt pressured or pushed beyond what I felt comfortable with. They even went so far as to bring my husband in and show him how he could help me with my exercises and stretches at home. They all have a good sense of humor with the kind of warmth that if you were not a client they would make a very good friend. This carries into the office personnel also. They make you feel like one of the family. My time is drawing to a close, and I have to admit that I am really going to miss them. They have built up my self esteem and I now am able to do many things I could not do before. I thank Linda, who had worked with me the most this time along with Kelsey and Walynn (who told me I had to get well enough to line dance with him). Thank you for all your faith in me.” - Shannon M. “Doing Many Things, I Could Not Do Before!” SUMMER INTERN SPOTLIGHT

Alyssa interned at the clinic this summer. She is a kinesiology student at the University of Wyoming, where she is a member of the Women’s Soccer team. She plans to go to physical therapy school after she graduates. She said she enjoyed her experience at the clinic and learned a lot from each of the therapists. Good luck to Alyssa in her senior year and go Cowgirl Soccer!
