Approval of Recreation Center, Student Union Building, and S&A Fee Increased Motion 26-26: Ms. Gillis moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves a $10 quarterly increase to the Recreation Center and Student Union Building fees and a 4 percent increase to the Services and Activities fee for academic year 2026-2027. Mr. Nellams seconded the motion. The motion was approved. Approval of Resolution 26-01 WHEREAS , Vy Frolov has served the State of Washington as the student trustee on the CWU Board of Trustees during the 2025-26 academic year; and WHEREAS, the board has appreciated Vy’s willingness to speak out on behalf of Washington state students; and WHEREAS , Vy is a transfer student and first-generation college student and became actively involved in the campus community and joined 88.1 The Burg and several theatre organizations; and WHEREAS , drawing on their rich and varied background in several different fields, Vy began to learn and understand student needs in order to best represent the interests of the entire student body; and WHEREAS , Vy was a thoughtful and enthusiastic participant in the Board of Trustees meetings; and WHEREAS , Vy’s passion for Central Washington University and their commitment to creating an inclusive and diverse environment for students is evident through their work promoting academic excellence, addressing student needs, and providing leadership opportunities for students; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED , that this Board of Trustees and the university community extend their deepest appreciation to Vy Frolov for their leadership on campus, and for their insightful and dedicated service on the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University. ADOPTED and signed this 22 nd day of May 2026. Motion 26-27: Ms. Black moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves Resolution 26-01 honoring Vy Frolov. Ms. Gillis seconded the motion. The motion was approved. The next meeting of the board will be July 16-17, 2026, in Ellensburg. Adjournment Motion 26-28: Mr. Nellams moved that the Board of Trustees of Central Washington University adjourn the meeting for May 22, 2026. Ms. Gillis seconded the motion. The motion was approved, and the meeting adjourned at 11:44 a.m.
