The cross country season was marked by the most sue· cessful freshman team in years. The team won the New York tate Collegiate Track and Field Associalion Champion. ship by a low score of 2l. While the varsity team won 7, 10 t 4 and tied], the fresh· men won 8 and lost 2 (to Bowl· ing Green and powerful Cor· nell). The fro h won the Le· Moyne Invitational and fin· ished second in the Canisius Invitational. The individual winner of the .Y.S.C.T.&F.A. Championship was Mark Ry– erson. Varsity sophomores Steve Trudel and Jerry (Donald) Pollock made the All·Confer– ence team, finishing fourth and eighth respectively.
