The indoor track team, boasting the largest squad in the college's history, started slowly but by mid-season were faring well. A filth place finish at tlle Cortland Invitational be– hind powerful Colgate and Cornell revealed strength in the mile and two mile with Jerry Pollock's tremendous double (4:26, 9:40), Dan Feather's 3rd place in the 1,000 Yard Run behind two Cornell runners, and the 3rd place finish of the Two Mile Relay team, Chuck Burrows, Pat Janiga, Bob Gabriel, and Dan Feather_ Later meets gave timber topper Jim Naion– ski (Co-Capt. with Dan Feather) an oppor– tunity to Score for the Orange. The frash Med– ley Relay team, Jim Holub alternating with Doug Regan, Bob Reyes, John Dublin, and Tom Nasal, were continually near-seconds to Syracuse University, Lut with excellent times.
