TIPS FOR DRIVING AROUND MOTORCYCLES

TIPS FOR

SAFE DRIVING

Respecting riders makes the road safer for everyone. As the weather heats up, brush up on a few ways to accommodate motorcycles on your daily commute. SHARE THE ROAD.

Good driving habits help keep everyone safe — including yourself. PLAY YOUR PART. PLAY IT SAFE. • Wear your seat belt on every trip. It just takes a second, and it might save your life. • Speeding gives you less time to react and makes crashes more deadly. Always obey the speed limit. • If you've been drinking, call for a ride — every time. • Keep your eyes up, your phone down and your focus on the road. Whatever your latest notification is, it can wait.

• Always look twice before turning or changing lanes — bikes can disappear in your blind spots. • Give riders plenty of space. Your car takes longer to stop than the bike in front of you. • Nobody likes being crowded. Leave motorcycles a full lane to ride in. • Remind yourself: Motorcycles offer riders less protection and little room for error. Share the road and drive with care.
