Morning Street Rod Parade O ne of the major highlights at the Rocky Mountain Nationals is the Street Rod Parade through downtown Pueblo guided by the Pueblo Police Department. The Pueblo Chamber of Commerce helps coordinate offering free coffee and donuts at the starting point, dash plaques are handed out and two vehicles will be selected by them for an award, one early and one late-model. These awards will be given out on Sunday at the Awards Ceremony. Rodders start lining up very early in the morning, because the Parade is limited to the first 100 vehi- cles. If any of you have an open vehicle and wouldn’t mind carrying some dignitaries, they will let you lead the Parade. Fred Williams will be on hand to help you get lined up. Remember, the Parade leaves the parking lot at 10am sharp. Swap Meet This year at the Rocky Mountain Nationals, to continue with the great tradition of one of the best Swap Meets in the country, the Colorado Springs Rod and Custom Car Club will take over from Skip Kuhns who has done a fantastic job running the Swap Meet for years. Skip has decid- ed to retire and just be a participant again, we wish him nothing but the best! The contact person now for the Swap Meet is Bob Collins and his contact number is 719-649-1702 or e-mail him at rcollins47@aol.com. Bob and the club look forward to helping anyone who would like to get space for this year’s Swap Meet! Pin-Up Girls & Best Beard Contests
