Ross has spent his entire life loving Chevy pickups, so he had a good idea of exactly what he was looking for and Brain Pakkala helped him get that vision just right before they put it in metal. The stock front bumper has a cool non-functional splitter running through the license plate and custom amber fog lights, the hood was filled, a cowl-induction scoop was added, tri-bar headlights were slipped in, the rear fenders were widened 3 inches, a ’69 Camaro rear bumper was installed, and custom inner fender panels were fabricat- ed. Pakkala’s then straightened out the body and laid down the PPG single-stage black. They filled the interior with a full rollbar complete with racing harnesses, slipped in a smoothie dash, an IDIDIT tilt/telescope column topped with a LeCarra steering wheel,

Kenwood tunes, a Hurst shifter, Stewart Warner gauges, and Vintage Air. Dave’s Auto Restoration then covered the Glide seat with black and silver leather and stitched the rest of the interior in black. An American Autowire kit was used to get the power flowing to all the electronics and Ross was ready to hit the road. Like many of our feature car owners, Ross has a few “nicer” rods than his ’62 Chevy C10, but we love the drivers most of all and that was exactly what Ross was building, “a three-pedal driver.” Ross only finished the truck recently, but it’s already cruised through all the elements a rod can, and Ross doesn’t plan on slowing down until he’s six-feet under. Keep on cruising and you’ll keep on smiling (and occasion- ally cussing some small part).
