MIRAGE P’Mac (aka Peter) Grant and Boerne Stage Customs combined talents to make one cool ’31 Ford roadster. The rod sits on a Deuce chassis, squeezes juice

brakes, uses split wishbones, a dropped I- beam axle, and is stuffed full of flatty power wearing a pair of two-barrels. The rod glows in gorgeous Olive Green paint and has a Tyler Booth interior. P’Mac named his highboy “Mirage” and we think it would look iconic flying down a dry lake bed.

TEEHEE Chuck Stanfill loved the “TeeHee” ’23 Ford roadster featured in February 1981 Rod Action, so much that with the help of Cheater Slick Culture and Rods West they recreated it. The early ‘80s-themed T-bucket runs a Hampton Blowers supercharger atop a Cram/McCall Machine Shop small-block Chevy. The tuck ‘n’ roll interior was done by Mike Smith, and Firestone rubber wraps the drag-style front wheels with five- hole Halibrands in back.

TONY’S TIGER Tony and Paula Jurado teamed up with Moal Coachbuilders to build their super-slick ’32 Ford roadster. The Deuce rolls on a Brizio chassis with torsion bars, Wilwood disc brakes, runs Chevy 383 power with a 6-71 Littlefield supercharger, and a Speedway quick-change rearend. A Brookville body wearing a Rodwell top and chopped windshield, a Sid Chavers interior with Classic Instruments Classic Series gauges, and five-spoke ET Wheels.

QUALIFIER Gary and Scott Lorenzini started building their ’32 Ford roadster back in 1998. The car got a good start at SoCal Speed and was finished by Veazie Brothers Fabrication. The very orange rod runs blown Chevy 383 power with Donovan injection, a Turbo 400 by Mike’s Transmissions, a Halibrand Champ quick-change, an Eric Brockmeyer-designed interior by

Ron Mangus Interiors, and bodywork/paint by Cypress Autobody.
