Turn, Turn, Turn

ECCLESIASTES 3:1-8 “To everything there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
O ne of my favorite songs from the ‘60s was recorded by The Byrds titled “Turn, Turn, Turn.” It was based by the verses from ECCLE- SIASTES 3. Not much credit is given to the scriptures by Pete Seeger, but if you listen to the song and read the scriptures it becomes obvious. The verses point out that there is a natural progression to life and experi- ences. All things are in His time
and His will – TRUST – FAITH! ECCLESIASTES 3: 11 “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.” I know in my life there have been times that occurred for a reason. Our ministry came at the right time for my wife Linda and I when some 27 years ago I was

licensed and ordained. I believe God prepared us for that time. It is summed up in 1 TIMOTHY 1: 12 “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.“ We had 27 years to minister to the street rod family that we were blessed to serve. That brings me to last verse I want to share. 2 TIMOTHY 4: “… the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” My thanks to NSRA for allow- ing me to be a part of their events. A special thanks to the musical groups that have blessed us all with their talents. But most of all I want to thank the rodders that made my time special. May God bless you all!
