Community grants available The South Nation Conservation Authority (SNC) is accepting applications for its 2018 Community Environmental Grants Program. Any community non-profit community group with an environmental or recreational project planned in the South Nation River watershed region is eligible to apply for a grant of up to $300 to assist with their project. Grants categories include: river, heritage, agri- environmental, and community outreach. So far the SNC has approved 20 grants, totaling $6000 for such projects as the Boisés Est Wood Fair, the Russell Historical Society’s Heritage Festival, the Crysler Citizens Committee Fun Run, and the Russell KinClub’s annual Poutmaster Fishing Derby. SNC has environmental aid grants available for landowners under its Clean Water Program. C’est pourtant l’exploit qu’a réalisé au cours de la dernière année et demie un groupe de cinq personnes de la région de Casselman. L’Association J’écris ma Vie Inc., un organisme qui offre du soutien à quiconque voudrait publier un livre sur sa vie ou sur celle d’un proche, a tenu à féliciter les participants qui ont terminé la première étape de leur projet autobiographique, soit de rédiger une première ébauche de leur texte. Ils s’affaireront maintenant à trouver des photos, effectuer lamise en forme et peaufiner leur œuvre afin de la préparer pour son impression.
