Amongst the over two-dozen pubs, clubs and bars on George Street, you will find all types of music – Irish, blues, dance, rock n’ roll, country and tra- ditional music will keep the party going until early in the morning. 33RD ANNUAL HALIFAX JAZZ FESTIVAL

When: July 9th - 14th, 2019 Where: Halifax Waterfront - Halifax, NS, Canada Why: Well first of all, this 6-day event happens on the historic and beautiful Halifax Waterfront and numerous venues throughout the city welcome up to 65,000 festival goers to a diverse range of musical and educational activities. The TD Halifax Jazz Festival, formerly known as the Atlantic Jazz Festival, is the oldest jazz festival founded in 1987 and is one of the largest summer festivals in Atlantic Canada. This event is sup- ported by not only local area businesses but also involves over 400 volunteers and spotlights over 350 amateur musicians, established local artists and the local "jazz aristocracy" plus the festival brings in renowned performers from many parts of the world. This event gives you the opportunity to check out historic Halifax and take in the fantastic sights, shops and restaurants and have the chance to take in some amazing musical talent in a city that is not known for being on the maps for touring jazz artists.
