Who’s hungry for a tasty combination of breadcrumbs, sauce, cheese, and chicken? I love chicken parmesan. Nothing quite beats the perfect cheese pull when you bite into this freshly made dish full of delicious flavors. I’ve been a fan for many years and decided to make it my mission to find the best chicken parm Central Florida offers. I don’t want to take this appetizing adventure alone; I want you to join me on the tasting tour! We launched a new video series on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram called “Moe Eats Chicken Parm.” In each episode, I visit one of Florida’s stellar Italian restaurants and try their version of the dish. So far, I’ve sampled chicken parm at Tornatore’s, Nonno’s, Stasio’s, and Goodfellas, and I have yet to be disappointed. Every one of the restaurants has been incredible, so if you’re a fan of this Italian staple, you should grab lunch at all of them at some point. In 2017, Romano’s Macaroni Grill designated April 19 as National Chicken Parmesan Day, a celebration of this yummy chicken dish. The holiday was just one of our inspirations to sink our teeth into this new series. Over the past 10 years, there has been an explosion of new restaurants in Orlando. While the city was once known only for its chain restaurants, it’s now gaining global recognition for its vibrant food scene. Local eateries have been featured on shows like Netflix’s “Somebody Feed Phil” earlier this year. Orlando was even named the Best Foodie City in the country last year by WalletHub. We want this series to truly celebrate Central Florida’s food and the people behind the aprons cooking meals we’re proud to chow down on. WANNABE BANK ROBBER CALLS AHEAD, ORDERS CASH TO GO DIALING FOR DOLLARS
Any bank robber knows you have to hurry through a heist to escape. A crook in Connecticut tried a novel time-saving technique: calling ahead. Taking a cue from the take-out food craze, the wannabe bank robber called a bank in Fairfield, Connecticut, and demanded that $100,000 in large bills be prepared for him with no dye packs in the bag. If the orders were not carried out, the caller told the employee, “there will be a bloodbath.” Fairfield cops, who thought they’d seen it all, were dumbfounded. “You can’t make this stuff up,” said a spokesman for the Fairfield Police Department. Robbers have tried many routes when attempting
to rob a bank, including entering the drive-through lane and terrorizing tellers through the window. But, “I’ve never had somebody call ahead and say, ‘Get the money, we’re coming,’” said a detective in the Fairfield case. In taking advantage of the telephone warning, the police were already at the scene when the robbers arrived. “I would classify these individuals as ‘not too bright,’” the police spokesman said. The employee who answered the robber’s call immediately hung up and called 9-1-1. The thief’s accomplice, a minor, was already inside the bank when the managers initiated a lockdown. The accomplice
passed the teller a note and collected about $900, but police stopped him as he left the bank. The fleeing accomplice was undoubtedly disappointed when the bag exploded in dye after throwing it on the ground. (Bank employees had disregarded the robbers’ phone order that no dye packs be tucked in with the cash. You just can’t get good service these days.) The accomplice and the robber who placed the call, who had been sitting in a car nearby, were both arrested at the scene without incident. The adult suspect, Albert Bailey, was on probation for a different bank hold-up several years earlier. Both were charged with first-degree robbery and threatening in the first degree.

Highlights From the Just Call Moe VIP Dinner BARBECUE, DOUGHNUTS, AND COMMUNITY CONNECTION
There’s nothing we love more than treating our clients to some great local eats, cool Just Call Moe swag, and a night of fun conversation. On March 13, we hosted one of our favorite events, the Just Call Moe VIP dinner. Every few months, we celebrate clients this way, and it’s an incredible opportunity to learn even more about the people we serve.
into their delicious food, they make some of the best barbecue in town. They started as a food truck, growing in popularity and eventually landing a beloved brick-and-mortar location. Along with a crazy assortment of barbecue dishes, dessert is made-to-order cake doughnuts of every flavor combination you can imagine. As always, we had goodies for our VIPs, like Just Call Moe shirts and other cool merch. Though the food was unbeatable, and we all probably had at least two doughnuts each, the real highlight of this dinner was spending time with our clients. So many of our guests loved the food and made terrific connections throughout the night. We wouldn’t be who we are today without your support, and we are genuinely invested in the people we serve. We are already planning our next VIP dinner, which will happen later this year, so stay tuned for that. OLIVE OIL CAKE WITH HONEY-YOGURT CREAM AND STRAWBERRIES

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cups almond flour 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease 8-inch springform pan. Line with parchment paper and lightly grease. 2. In medium bowl, whisk together flours, baking powder, and baking soda. 3. In a stand mixer, whisk sugar and eggs on medium-high, about 3 minutes. Add oil, lime zest, lime juice, and vanilla. On low, gradually add flour mixture until just incorporated. 4. Pour batter into pan. Bake until golden brown and toothpick comes out with crumbs, 40–45 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes. Invert cake out of pan onto wire rack and let cool completely. 5. Whisk yogurt, cream, and honey. Top each cake slice with spoonfuls of yogurt mixture and strawberries.

A FUN AND EDUCATIONAL TWIST ON A CLASSIC BOUNCING BUBBLES 101
Every parent wants to engage their kids in playful and educational activities. One exciting and easy-to-set-up activity is the bouncing bubble. This activity promises an afternoon of fun while exploring the science behind bubbles. To start this bubbly adventure, you need a simple concoction: 4 tablespoons of water, 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Gently mix the water and soap, then add the sugar and mix until

The science of this bouncing is an excellent opportunity to explore how bubbles form. The kids will question why these bubbles bounce, so why not make it educational? Kids can dip their bubble wands into the mixture and blow bubbles into the air. Now, though, the bubbles won’t pop. The secret lies in wearing knit gloves or long sweater sleeves. Watch the magic happen as kids try catching and bouncing the bubbles
other questions, and kids won’t feel lectured because you’re answering their questions.
This activity requires minimal resources, making it a convenient option for impromptu
fun. As children revel in the joy of catching and bouncing bubbles, they can learn about this science, which fosters curiosity and discovery. So, grab your bubble wands and dive into this activity that turns ordinary bubbles into bouncing balls and curious kids into scientists to create lasting memories.
