BUSINESS RESOURCES Grocery Outlet of Calverton | Owner/Operators: Thomas and Sharon Procida |Store Opened: July 11, 2024 Thomas and Sharon are the new owner-operators of the Grocery Outlet of Calverton, located at 11705 Beltsville Drive, Beltsville MD 20705. Tom is a native of Long Island, New York, he has approximately 25 years in the retail field and 10 years in the hospitality field. He has lived and worked in different parts of the United States such as New York City, Miami Florida, Charlotte North Carolina as well as two years in the beautiful island of Bermuda where he met and married his wife, Sharon. Tom has a passion for people and enjoys working in retail as well as customerinteractions. Sharon is a native of Bermuda. She has travelled extensively throughout the world and has also live in the United States such as New York City, Charlotte North Carolina, Texas, Maryland and Pennsylvania. She has three years of retail management experience and 20+ years of office management experience. She is also a trained nurse and midwife, having had the pleasure of birthing three out of four of her grandbabies. Tom and Sharon worked and trained under the guidance of Dane and Natalie Sanford at their Easton Store in Pennsylvania. Beyond their Professional lives: Tom is a huge Buffalo Bills football fan, GO BILLS!!! He enjoys listening to Journey and Steve Perry, is an Islanders Hockey fan and a New York Yankees fan. Sharon is very family-orientated, is an avid crafter and enjoys working with her hands. She enjoys listening to all genres of music with her favorite artist being Charlie Wilson and most recently BTS an international acclaimed Kpop band. She loves to cook and bake, and her favorite food is cake. She is also an Eagles Fan!!! Both enjoy travelling, which includes taking cruises, road trips, beach outings and football games. Both are avid foodies and love finding new places to visit and food to try. They are currently mourning the loss of their beloved pet chihuahua named Royal. Tom and Sharon are excited to bring their knowledge and values to the new store and to their community. They have an appreciation for the area demographics, being a diverse and blended community and look forward to building relationships with the surrounding businesses, schools, churches and other community entities.
