The Winchester ® Ranger ® Segmented Slug is this round. Fire it into barrier covered gel and the unique slug design segments into three pieces, causing multiple wound channels and increased trauma. This same segmenting action also reduces the risk of over- penetration. When fired through hard barriers such as plywood, car doors and drywall, this round behaves like a traditional slug with maintained integrity and full energy on target.
