Stanley Young: Happy New Year! Looking forward to a great year. God bless us all. Ronald Miyashiro: We have a son and daughter, and five grandkids, who all gathered for a joyous Christmas. My daughter and spouse (Army contract) live in Okinawa, Japan. My son works for the state transportation department. My oldest granddaughter works for the Navy on O‘ahu and graduated from Oregon State University. My next granddaughter is a registered nurse in Portland, Oregon, and graduated from the University of Portland. My younger three grandkids are still in college at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. Richard Chun-Hoon: Last November, my wife and I visited our daughter in Washington, D.C., and were treated to a tour of the West Wing of the White House. On TV, all the rooms and halls look big, but in the real world they are not, except for maybe the president’s office. Unfortunately, our daughter needed to resign and vacate her office as director of the Women’s Bureau of the U.S. Department of Labor when the new administration took over. In 2024, we also took a land tour in China to see the Terracotta Army warriors and the Great Wall of China. In 2025, we plan on going to Japan for the first time. We have five grandchildren between our daughter, who has two, and our son in Hilo, who has

what was left — an ominous thought, but a good reason to enjoy daily life and stay healthy. Classmates upbeat, enjoying life and happy to be at the 64 th reunion seeing others included Emmett Yoshioka, Elliott and Lori Lum, Tom Campbell, Eric Yamamoto, Mark Hayashi, Leroy Lee, Richard Chung, and Jim Miyashiro. Gordon KH Chun wondered if the Class of 1961 would have a 65 th reunion. That’s a good question and depends on who still has motivation to put one of these events on. The idea of a stag reunion at Natsunoya Tea House is floating around and Andre is thinking March 2026 for it. So guys, stay alive and do what you must do to stay alive, per “Hawkeye of The Last of the Mohicans.”
