On December 8, about 40 members of the Class of 1987 gathered for a mini-reunion at Ala Wai Golf Course Clubhouse.
Trevor Benn was recently installed as 2025 president of the Honolulu Board of Realtors, while Greg Andrasick and Ryan Oda ’06 won Aloha ‘Āina Realtor Awards for exceptional service to their clients. Many ‘Iolani alumni were there to support them, including Kevin Nishikawa ’88, Cord Anderson ’99, Lisa Tellio ’00 , Rae Benn, Mark Mugiishi ’77, Chris Shimabukuro ’85 , Asa Miyahira, Malia Benn ’21, and Tyler Benn ’23 . In November, members of the Class of 1992 gathered in Las Vegas to celebrate their collective 50 th birthdays! In attendance were Ashley Nakano, Nolan Nakamura, Ryan Chun, Rich Chow, Dean Fujioka, Jason Takeuchi, Kevin Ginoza, Chris Chun, Carter Siu, Matt Wagner, Kimie Sasaki, Kory Kado- Fukuda, Todd Lee, Bentley Pai, Warren Yamamoto, Scott Kuioka, Zack Pang, Cherie Nakamoto, and Lori Hadlock. In December, Terra Basche ’X92 and her family were in town, so they took advantage of seeing Mr. Basche, our sixth-grade teacher. Mr. Basche toured the ‘Iolani campus and was amazed at the changes since he was a teacher. Tad Yamashita hosted a potluck for everyone that included classmates Kimie Sasaki, Matt Okahata, Miki Kurokawa, Dee Kawamura, Carter Siu , Eric Heenan, Trevor Benn , Clayton Katsuyoshi, Matt Wagner, Nolan Nakamura, Kimi Frith, Joey Foti, Levani Lipton, Junedale Nishiyama, Todd Lee, Cavan Scanlan, Jason Revestir, Lori Hadlock, Ryan Chun, Cherie Nakamoto, Chris Chun, and Shalini Gopalakrishan.
