Cheer Club Clinic The Lower School kicked off the year with spirit as more than 75 students in kindergarten through sixth grade participated in a Cheer Club Clinic on August 31. Led by varsity, junior varsity, and intermediate cheerleaders, students learned jumps, stunts, pyramids, and cheers in a fun-filled One Team event. After a day of games, laughter, and practice, 11 groups showcased their routines for parents and attendees. The young Raiders were also given the opportunity to bring their spirit to the sidelines at the Homecoming football game on September 27.

Discover ‘Iolani Day In September, the Class of 2030 participated in Discover ‘Iolani Day, an event designed to introduce seventh graders to key school offices and staff while fostering teamwork and connection. Students contributed to an art project inspired by their summer reading, engaged in a breakout battle, and learned about the One Team spirit. They also bonded through ROPES activities, a team- based scavenger hunt, and a class lunch, getting a meaningful start to their Upper School journey.

Mid-Autumn Festival

Club Day Our annual Club Day was held on September 12 in the Lower Gym, offering students the opportunity to explore and join more than 90 clubs spanning academics, service, languages, and special interests.

To celebrate this school year’s Mid-Autumn Festival in September, students from several Chinese classes made Oreo mooncakes as a modern twist on the traditional treat. The hands-on activity offered them an opportunity to learn about the festival’s history and cultural significance while enjoying a fun and delicious experience.
