Book Awards The final Honors Chapel of the fall was held on September 12, recognizing ‘Iolani book award winners, student volunteers, and tutors. Multiple organizations and universities nationwide sponsor book awards recognizing outstanding academic achievements and character. Based on nominations from their teachers and counselors, senior class members were presented with the following awards:

Girls Varsity Trip to Palo Alto, California The ‘Iolani Girls Varsity Tennis Team participated in the ninth- annual Golden State Tennis Classic in Palo Alto, California, in September. The tournament’s only out-of-state team, ‘Iolani players included Cydni Kodani ’25, Gloria Lau ’25, Miya Terasaki ’25, Emma Chun ’26, Rylee Koev ’26, Jolie Cruz ’26, Kamy Kaneshige ’26, Lauryn Jim On ’26, Ella Aoki ’27, Georgie Lee ’27, Naomi Nogaki ’27, and Rylie Yamamoto ’27. The girls played a series of matches against top teams from northern and southern California.

Girls Varsity Volleyball Plays in Durango Fall Classic The Girls Varsity Volleyball team competed in the prestigious Durango Fall Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada, in September, facing top teams from across the country. The team finished the tournament with a 4-3 record, winning its Contender Bracket and strengthening its team bonds. Following its return home, the team secured victories against Mid-Pacific and Kamehameha Schools, clinching a berth in the Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association state tournament.
