Grades Nine Through 11 Class Day

On October 11, the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes spent Class Day at several O‘ahu beaches, enjoying the sun and bonding with classmates. Students played in the waves, built sandcastles, sunbathed, and participated in games, including spikeball, football,

basketball, and soccer. Some even relaxed on the playground. Class Day proved a fun and refreshing way to kick off the long weekend!

Honolulu Police Department Visits With Kindergarteners On October 10 and 11, ‘Iolani kindergarteners enjoyed a special visit from the Honolulu Police Department’s Solo Bike Unit, Specialized Services Division, and SWAT teams. As honorary junior police officers, students participated in training exercises with police dog Oz, helping him follow commands and locate specific scents. They also explored the back of a police car, listened to the sirens on a solo bike, and posed for photos with Oz’s canine friend Hanzo, all of it creating an unforgettable experience.

Lower School Book Fair Lower School Librarians, Mrs. Bagoyo and Ms. Yanek, hosted a successful fall Scholastic Book Fair from October 7 through 11, bringing reading excitement to the campus. Students, parents, faculty, and staff eagerly attended, shopping for books to enrich their libraries.
