Pride Parade On October 19, 'Iolani School proudly participated in the Honolulu Pride Parade, joining over 200 schools and organizations to celebrate diversity and inclusion. Led by Mr. Motter's vintage 1962 Buick convertible and a decorated van, the spirited group marched with signs, smiles, and shakas; highlighting 'Iolani's commitment to upholding the dignity and worth of every individual, emphasizing the school's values of love, kindness, and inclusivity for all, regardless of gender, identity, expression, or sexual orientation.

Indigenous People's Day Upper School Chapel honored Indigenous Peoples’ Day in October with a talk by Ms. ‘Ihilani Lasconia, a Kanaka ‘Ōiwi artist, activist, and scholar from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. She shared her journey of answering calls to activism, education, and cultural identity, emphasizing a spirit-led path rather than the pursuit of status or wealth. Her story highlighted her deep connection to her heritage, the guidance of wise mentors, and her commitment to serving her community. The chapel service also included an oli by Associate Head of School Ms. Melanie Pfingsten, music from the Hawaiian Ensemble, and a prayer from The Book of Common Prayer. Lower School students would later hear from Dr. Jon Osorio, Dean of UH Mānoa’s Kamakakūokalani Center for Hawaiian Studies.
