Community and Civic Engagement Holiday Service Projects
‘Iolani students embraced the holiday spirit by engaging in several meaningful season-celebrating service projects. Sixth graders crafted paper stockings with heartfelt notes for residents at Kāhala Nui Hi ʻ olani Care Center, guided by insights from the Kūpuna Connection Club. At the IHS Women’s and Family Shelter, the Kōkua Connection Club hosted a Holiday Movie Night with homemade treats and games. ScholaRise volunteers at Ala Wai Elementary created festive Lego ornaments with students, fostering creativity and joy. Mahalo to all who contributed to these heartwarming efforts!

K-12 Chapel Celebrates Love and Joy The annual K-12 Christmas Chapel brought the Nativity story to life through a heartfelt Lower School pageant, music, and hula. Beginning with Caesar Augustus’s decree, the story followed Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, culminating in the joyous birth of Jesus. Faculty and students shared gifts of song and performance, reminding the ʻ Iolani community that “Love Stands Supreme.” As we celebrated the season, we were encouraged — like Mary — to say “yes” to love and transformation.

Festive Fun at the ResLife Dinner
The ResLife Program hosted its annual Holiday Dinner in Seto Hall in December, bringing students together for a night of celebration. Planned by the ResLife Student Activities Committee, the event featured a delicious meal, sweet treats, and fun games, including Kahoot!, Pass the Present, and musical chairs. Special thanks to the students who contributed to decorations, games, music, and seating arrangements, as well as faculty and families for their support. It was a joyful evening filled with holiday spirit and community!
