Analysis: • The number of new housing units (and permits issued) have declined significantly compared to a year ago with the estimated value of new homes has 35.8% relative to Q1 2025. It is important to note that the decrease in units and estimated value occurred after a sharp annual increase in Q1 2024. • The number of residential alterations and their estimated value, however, has increased from a year ago.
