Empowering Change for a Sustainable Future: Second Annual TJMS Green Fair The Second Annual Green Fair is a platform for students to showcase their passion for sustainability, innovation, and environmental impact. Featuring student-led presentations on conservation, sustainability, and real-world environmental challenges, this event highlights the power of young minds in driving change. Guided by our dedicated science teachers and Science Supervisor Janice Perlin, students have developed research questions, explored sustainable solutions, and refined their projects through mentorship and feedback. Those interested can continue their research beyond the event, deepening their work and contributing to long-term environmental efforts.

Empowering TJMS Voices: Public Speaking Showcase Highlights Student Growth Held on January 23, 2025, the showcase celebrated the achievements of students in the Mic Drop: Confident and Creative Expression elective under instructor Jamie Sackie. This event highlighted their growth in public speaking and modern digital communication. The Green Fair embodies the ingenuity and dedication of our students, proving that small actions lead to big change. Inspired by Bill Nye, “To leave the world better than you found it, sometimes you have to pick up other people’s trash,” we hope this event inspires action whether through conservation, innovation, or everyday choices. Let’s make this year’s Green Fair an unforgettable event, full of inspiration and action, as we continue to work towards a greener, healthier planet for all!
