Celebrating Our First Annual ESL Family Night at WWMS! Woodrow Wilson Middle School hosted its First Annual ESL Family Night , a celebration of culture, community, and collaboration . With over 150 attendees, the event showcased the strength and diversity of our ESL program, which represents students and families from more than 20 countries around the world . A highlight of the evening was the impressive display of career projects presented by 50 students. The evening also included a delicious dinner, providing an opportunity for families, students, and staff to meet, socialize, and strengthen our school community. Special thanks go to Ms. Betty An , our dedicated WWMS ESL teacher, for her incredible efforts in organizing this memorable event. We also extend our gratitude to Mr. Nirav Lad, Supervisor of ESL, for his unwavering support, and to the WWMS teachers who attended and contributed to making the evening an extraordinary experience for all.
Unified Schools at WWMS: Building Community Through Inclusion At Woodrow Wilson Middle School, the Unified Schools program continues to shine as a model of inclusivity and diversity , fostering a learning environment where students of all abilities come together to grow, learn, and connect. Sponsored by a grant from the Special Olympics , the program focuses on breaking down barriers and promoting social inclusion by integrating students with and without disabilities in both classrooms and extracurricular activities . This approach cultivates mutual respect, understanding, and a sense of belonging, helping every student feel valued.
