FOCUS ON HIGH EFFICIENCY HEATING
Key features of the Daikin Altherma 3 Monobloc • Compact dimensions: A stylish single fan outdoor unit with the lowest height in the market for the 4-6-8 class. • High capacities at A-2/W45: Designed for UK conditions to deliver on homeowners’ requirements at the full range of operating conditions. • Functionality: Available in heating-only and reversible (heating and cooling) options. • Improved energy performance: A+++ at 35°C and A++ at 55°C. • App and cloud-ready: Can be monitored and controlled by Onecta App, as well as cloud. • PV/smart grid connections: available directly and free of charge on the heat pump PCB. • No separate wiring centre required: All wiring connections on outdoor unit. • No indoor units: Only items to be installed indoors are a small user interface and hot water tank integrated with the heat pump and covered by warranty, reducing installation time and time spent on sourcing third party components. • Easy-to-use interface: System can be commissioned in nine easy steps, saving time for installer. • Switchbox rotates out: Easing serviceability and installation. • 60C LWT guaranteed down to -5°C ambient temperature: Combining the advantages of an R32 unit with delivery at low ambient conditions.
A low-capacity monobloc available in three smaller classes (4-6-8), it features redesigned casing with a white front grille of horizontal lines hiding the fan from view, reducing perception of the sound produced by the unit. A light grey, seamless casing reflects the environment in which the unit is installed, helping it blend in with its surroundings. The shape of the fan has been reviewed to reduce the contact surface with air and improve air circulation. Daikin is a pioneer in developing heat pumps equipped with R32, which is equivalent in power to standard refrigerants while achieving higher energy efficiency and lower CO2 emissions. With the monobloc set-up, no indoor unit is required, which helps when space is limited inside. The monobloc can even fit under a window. All hydraulic components are integrated in one unit, including a sealed refrigerant circuit eliminating any need for refrigerant handling or F-gas qualifications. A new feature, a rotary switchbox, helps installers access hydraulic and refrigerant components, allowing commissioning and servicing to be performed with ease.
