Managing Emotional Mayhem: Creating a Safe Place EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION, SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL SUPPORTS
For more information or to register for this training, visit: https://www.cahelp.org/
Trauma-Invested practices meet our human need for safety, connection, and problem-solving. Managing Emotional Mayhem lays a conceptual foundation, explores limiting beliefs, presents new adult skills and teaches us how sto coach children in this transformative self-regulation process. Self-regulation is the ability to manage your emotional upset and behavior and is a prerequisite skill for life success. The way adults handle emotional upset when children are throwing fits, back-talking, name-calling, being defiant and withdrawing will either foster or inhibit their ability to develop self-regulation. This training will explore the cycle of self-sabotage and the self- regulation success cycle to help participants learn new skills to integrate social-emotional learning within their schools.
