Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the Home FAMILY ENGAGEMENT, BEHAVIORAL SUPPORTS
For more information or to register for this training, visit: https://www.cahelp.org/
Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) is not just for schools. The underlying theme is teaching behavioral expectations in the same manner as any skill, and parents can use the same ideas to create a better environment at home. Positive behavior support does not mean changing the child; rather, it means creating a new environment that supports the positive behaviors you want to see. This session will help build a connected system between a student’s home and school life and provide tools for enriching communication as well as positive responses for challenging behaviors as home.
Intended Audience
Special education teachers, general education teachers, paraprofessionals, site administrators, district administrators, and parents.
