Participants will gain a better understanding about some of the causes of child misbehavior by viewing it through a trauma- informed lens. The importance of the brain-body connection in behavioral regulation and building empathetic relationships with students to impact behavior will be discussed. Strategies for home and classroom behavior management will be identified, as well as ways to assist children with feeling safe and secure in the classroom to increase learning.
