Chris Briers says: “Welcome back to the Woodlands after the short and much needed break. Today we look forward to facing Sheffield in what we expect to be a tough encounter. Last time out we faced Sedgley Park in a top of the table clash and for the spectators the game did not disappoint. The game was well matched and both sides had opportunities to take the victory, but neither side could break down the defences enough edge the win. As coaches, both Alex and I were very proud of the performance the squad produced and whilst we all felt there were opportunities to win, we couldn’t fault the effort and desire from the squad. This week, we face Sheffield who really challenged us at their ground earlier in the year. The game was tight at half time, and whilst we were the stronger outfit in the second half, they managed to prevent us gaining a 4 try bonus point. This time we face them, after a welcome rest, and hope to put in a performance which can deliver 5 points. We hope you all have an enjoyable afternoon of rugby.”
