Economics

The University rankings are very impressive, and I was blown away by the state-of-the-art facilities on campus. Swansea also has a good reputation for having a strong international community. Coming to Swansea has taught me how to interact with a diverse range of people, including lecturers and students from across the world. The University is multicultural, and it was wonderful making friends with students from across the world and being taught by lecturers of different specialisms and experience.

GIANLUCA FRISINA Economics and Finance, BSc (Hons)

I chose Swansea University mainly for the facilities. Compared to other universities this really stood out and I really liked the course’s flexibility. Working for Siemens during my year in industry has allowed me to develop my transferable skills, build my business confidence and expand my network. My role was based within the Reward and Policy sector and I worked on a range of projects that helped me to develop personally. Through my placement, I managed to go on to do a Summer Placement working on the Brexit Project and they even offered me a job upon graduation.

JODIE HENNEH Economics, BSc (Hons) with a Year in Industry

The range of modules are fantastic and enabled me to tailor my degree to what I am fully interested in. I absolutely loved the Labour Economics module and used it in my job interview for my role with the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy.

The range of societies that you can join is so impressive, I was part of the Investment Trading Society and the Debating Society.
